Welcome to the Summer Skies (intermittent) Workshop Blog!

This is where I post notes about what's going on in the workshop, upcoming items to look for, and other news about the dichroic specialties featured on this site.

October 30, 2011:
Here is the "after" picture of the cleaned up workshop! Have been tinkering around in there and making a few new things, really loving a transparent glass that fires up a cherry red. Have more stuff to scan and upload, so will be posting them in a few days.

October 25, 2011:

The last couple of weeks have been very busy. The workshop is unbelievably pristine--- I'll post before and after pics in a day or two so you can see the change. Anyway, since I can now find my tools, glass, and other things necessary for creativity, I've made a whopping bunch of small glass pieces, most of which will end up on the website as cabochons. It'll take a day or two to scan them and make the web pages for them, but stay tuned!

September 9, 2011:

The workshop cleanup is coming along a lot faster than I'd anticipated, and I've been able to make a bunch of small goodies recently. Over the last couple of evenings, I've been able to post a number of these new items, which are mentioned on the Home page if you don't want to have to sift through all of the offerings on the website.

September 2, 2011:

After 11 years of creating fused and dichroic glass items, my workshop needs a thorough cleaning! There are scraps of glass an inch high on the work surface, and it's gotten to the point of being nearly impossible to find a spot big enough to cut the glass.

I've started the process of reorganizing but it's going to take some time... Meanwhile, production continues, just at a slower rate. I'll keep listing new items as well as some pieces from the past that have turned up as I find them in nooks and crannies! :-)
