These are carefully crafted slide pendants, with a small channel
cut through them at the top (usually about 3mm) that allows them to be strung
on wire, cord, or even some silver/gold chains.
The teardrop shape is the result of careful cutting, trimming, grinding, and a couple of firing sessions in the kiln.
